Eskişehir AFAD is one of the 81 provincial organizations of the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) under the Ministry of Interior. Eskişehir AFAD is responsible for

• ensuring coordination and cooperation among all institutions in all kinds of emergencies and disasters,
• mobilizing organizations to take measures,
• responding to disasters and emergencies, 
• preparing disaster risk reduction, response and recovery plans,
• preparing the community against disaster risks.
